We are looking for an experienced data engineer to join Zenda Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled engineer who is passionate about using technology to solve healthcare related fintech problems. You will be working alongside experienced team members to help launch new products.

What you’ll do
  • Conceptualize, design, develop, test, and deploy scalable services and systems to manage financial information
  • Drive and manage software projects end-to-end
  • Maintain high code quality through writing unit tests, automation and code reviews
  • Work with Product Managers and System Engineers to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution
  • Collaborate across teams on priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience developing web applications
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns knowledge and experience creating extensible, reusable solutions that meet desired architectural objectives
  • Conceptualize, design, develop, test, and deploy data integration and decision support services
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MariaDB and DynamoDB
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools
  • Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, Serverless, RDS, SNS/SQS, Kinesis, and MSK
  • Strong expertise in Python
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and Lambda based serverless programming model will be plus
  • Experience with unit and integration testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
